DeMolay is for young men ages 12-21. We try to turn young men into adult men of tomorrow by teaching them responsibility and how to care for others especially respect for women. We teach seven cardinal virtues which are Love of parents, Reverence for sacred things, Courtesy, Comradeship, Fidelity, Cleanness, and Patriotism. It is about helping you make friends and public speaking skills. DeMolay teaches you leadership skills as well.
Our community involvement is done primarily through Special Olympics and serving a Christmas meal to those who are alone.
Racine Chapter is one of seven chapters in Wisconsin. We get together for events with the other chapters at the state meetings, which are Conclave and Sweetheart Weekend.
My Experience in DeMolay has been fun and challenging. It is fun because we go to a private lake up north called Oatmeal Lake, and other fun activities. The challenging part is learning the ritual work and following through on commitments we make. It has been a learning experience for me as well.
